A clearer view of vendor bills

Invoices scattered across inboxes make it harder to see upcoming obligations. Mako Financial helps organize the work from receiving a bill to recording an approved payment.

Organize bills

Collect invoices and supporting information, identify due dates and flag missing details or possible duplicates for review.

Get approval

Bring payment questions to your firm’s authorized approver. Agree who can approve amounts, timing and changes to vendor information.

Track payment status

Coordinate approved payments within the agreed scope and update accounting records with payment details and unresolved items.

Approval stays with your firm

We agree the accounts, access and approval process before handling payments. Receiving a vendor invoice does not itself authorize payment or a change to bank details.

If payment execution is included, the engagement identifies who releases funds and how instructions are confirmed. The Mako workspace is not a bill-payment processor.

Plan for upcoming obligations

Combine accounts payable with bookkeeping to keep expenses and balances current, and cash-flow planning to consider upcoming payments alongside expected receipts.

This service concerns your firm’s operating bills. Questions about client funds belong in a separately defined trust-accounting scope.

Common questions

Before we begin

Can Mako pay bills on our behalf?

Payment support can be discussed as part of the engagement. We first agree authorization, access, funding responsibilities and the system used. The service does not imply unrestricted authority over your accounts.

What vendor records will you need?

Typically invoices, supporting approvals and relevant vendor information. We provide a specific request list after scoping. Share W-9s and payment details through the agreed secure channel, not the public inquiry form.

Can you help with an existing backlog?

We can assess unpaid bills and incomplete records before agreeing a cleanup and recurring-work scope. Your firm confirms disputed amounts and priorities.

Before your consultation

Separate invoice review from payment authorization

Discuss how vendor invoices arrive, who confirms the purchase and who approves payment. An organized accounts-payable process keeps due dates, supporting documents and approval questions together.

Agree how vendor payment-detail changes will be verified and which payments Mako may assist with. Payment execution must follow the engagement scope and your firm’s authorization requirements.

Let’s scope the work.

Start with your business contact details. We’ll discuss the accounts, records and support your firm needs.
