About these terms

These terms apply to the public Mako Financial website, effective October 5, 2026. Mako Financial is an iMedia Enterprises, Inc. company.

Our Privacy Policy explains the information handled through these services. A separately signed engagement agreement defines the accounting services provided to a client.

Website information

Service descriptions, FAQs and articles provide general information. They are not individualized accounting, tax or legal advice and should not be treated as a conclusion about your firm’s particular circumstances.

Requirements and software features can change. Consult the relevant sources and obtain advice appropriate to your situation before relying on information to make a decision. No page promises a particular tax treatment, collection result, regulatory outcome or finding of compliance.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics on public pages by default for visits identified as being in the United States to understand website usage and improve the site. Advertising features are disabled and the client portal is excluded. You can turn analytics off in our Privacy Policy settings; we also honor Global Privacy Control signals. Analytics remains off for other or unknown locations. Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved and related cookies.

Service engagements

Submitting an inquiry, speaking with Mako or accessing website content does not by itself create an accounting engagement. Services, fees, responsibilities, approvals and deliverables must be agreed separately.

These website terms do not replace or amend an executed engagement agreement. Your firm retains the decisions and responsibilities assigned to it under that agreement and applicable requirements.

Portal access

The client portal is not open for use. Contact Mako to arrange an appropriate channel for your engagement. Do not send financial documents, account credentials or card security codes through the public contact form.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, access another firm’s records or interfere with the services.
• Do not submit malicious files, unlawful material or information you are not authorized to disclose.
• Do not misrepresent your identity or use the website to send spam.
• Keep sensitive financial records and credentials out of the public contact form.

Access may be restricted when needed to address suspected misuse or protect information, subject to applicable obligations and engagement terms.

Content & external links

Mako Financial’s branding and original website materials, and third-party materials where identified, remain subject to their owners’ rights. You may read and link to public pages; do not imply Mako’s endorsement or use its branding to misrepresent an affiliation.

Links to third-party resources are provided for reference. Mako does not control those websites or their availability, terms or privacy practices.

Availability & updates

Maintenance, network problems and other interruptions can affect access. Do not assume that a website submission or device notification has been received unless the relevant confirmation or agreed communication establishes that result.

We may update these website terms by posting a revised version with an updated effective date. Changes to an existing client’s contracted services are handled through the applicable engagement agreement.
